The Electrical and Biomedical Engineering (EBME) Team within an NHS hospital is staffed by highly qualified and experienced clinical engineers. The team essentially provides medical equipment management and support services to ensure all the devices used within the hospital are working, safe and suitable to ensure the best possible care for patients.
Calibrationhouse works regularly with EBME teams and calibrates thousands of pieces of equipment on their behalf every year. Our ongoing partnership with Rigel Medical enables us to continually expand and improve the range of EBME products and services we offer on a regular basis.
Calibration services take place at our state-of-the-art UKAS (ISO 17025) accredited laboratory in Durham, with a field-based team of strategically placed engineers so hospitals throughout the UK can benefit from the significantly improved turnaround times offered by onsite calibration.
Services range from calibration of a simple multimeter up to more involved testing of ventilator testers and electricals safety analysers. All calibrations will be as a minimum traceable to national standards with UKAS level available on certain parameters.
