Bourdon Gauge Calibration

Flexible bourdon gauge calibration services

Pressure gauges, manometers, pressure meters, bourdon gauges are all similar types of instruments used for measuring pressure. Bourdon tube pressure gauges are one of the most popular constructions of pressure gauges and can be used to measure a large range of pressures from 0.6 to 7000 Bar.  The Bourdon tube is essentially an elastic element or mechanical type of pressure transducer. It is a relatively cheap, reliable system and is used universally for measuring the pressure values of both gaseous and liquid fluids.

As mentioned earlier these mechanical devices can measure a very wide range of pressures from fractions of an inch water pressure thousands of pounds per square inch. Each gauge has a set limitation on the pressure levels it can measure and the wider the range of measurement the less sensitive the system is to changes in pressure.

Calibration of bourdon gauges can be performed using pressure calibrators or deadweight testers depending on the accuracy and range of the gauge. Calibrationhouse is able to offer a wide range bourdon gauge calibration service, which is available in our lab or onsite at customer premises. We specialise mainly in low pressures up to 30Bar/435psi and UKAS testing available on certain parameters.
