The gas analyser calibration service by Calibrationhouse includes both a flue gas analyser calibration service and standard gas calibration service for other types of gas detector. Gas testing equipment in general measures oxygen, carbon monoxide and temperature but can often be fitted with other sensors to measure different gases and parameters.
The following parameters are often seen on gas measurement instruments:
- Gas Temperature
- Gas Pressure
- Oxygen (O2) levels
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels
- Nitric Oxide (NO) levels
- Nitrogen Oxide (NO2) levels
- Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) levels
- Presence of Flammable Gases (Hydrocarbons)
Calibrationhouse recommends all gas analysers are checked every 6 months as a minimum requirement, although as with most instruments with extensive use; a shorter period between calibrations could be beneficial. Due to safety standards across industry, calibration and servicing is an essential part of gas analyser maintenance. Testing and calibration of these instruments will be traceable to national standards with UKAS certification available to certain parameters.
Currently gas analyser calibration can only take place at our laboratory in Peterlee; we are hoping to launch an onsite service during 2015. Please contact us to discuss your gas analyser calibrations in more detail.
