Periodic high quality calibration of audiology equipment is essential to ensure accurate testing results for patients. Inaccurate measurements can be upsetting to patients and hospitals will need to go through costly re-testing procedures. In audiometry, calibration ensures that the hearing level shown by the audiometer complies with the British Standard specifying the reference for hearing thresholds.
Calibrationhouse and the larger Seaward Group are important partners of NHS Trusts and private hospitals across the UK. The high quality standard of our work means our audiological calibration encompasses a total equipment check ensuring we perform functional tests, electrical safety tests and performance checks. These tests will be supported with relevant labelling to ensure traceability and validation of the calibration work.
